Out of curiosity, and I'm not asking you to name awards or anything here, but are there some "Judge-awarded awards" planned for this year like there were last? (I think it was a Judges' award that went to Dread last year, for example...)
I don't think so. I like the idea of an innovation award or something, but I think the general feeling is that a judge-chosen award would take away from the fan-based nature of the awards. Early on it was also posited that such an award might feel like a consolation prize or whatever.
As one of the other judges put it, the nominations themselves are pretty much the judges' awards.
It's not beyond the realm of possibility, but I think it's pretty unlikely.
